More than 50 buildings make up the historic Madison campus of Drew University that require standard heating mechanisms. Crane assisted university personnel with the investigative surveys and budget estimation for the prospective architectural and engineering upgrades required to execute the generator, steam piping network and boiler plant work on campus. Crane designed and managed construction for electrical upgrades and new generators as well as the new underground steam distribution piping, manhole pit replacement and steam boiler plant.
The Crane engineering team converted original site drawings into AutoCAD, verifying campus utilities and design of all upgrades. Construction was managed throughout the duration of the project and Crane worked closely with campus personnel to keep on schedule and provide cost estimating services for future upgrade planning.
