Upon completion of an investigatory survey and analysis of one of the 18 campus buildings, Crane Associates provided plans for a roofing system replacement including the main floor and penthouse roof. The scope included removal of the existing built-up roof system(s) including membrane, insulation, lightweight insulating concrete, and flashings. Replacement consisted of a modified three-ply built-up system with cap sheet coated with a high solar reflectance coating. Additional scope included repairs to the mansard tile roofing, addition of overflow roof drains and replacement of suspended ceilings in several rooms. Crane worked closely with administrative and construction personnel to ensure accurate execution of the project to agency and state standards and codes. Project environment was also tested for asbestos, abatement and air quality monitoring for roof drain modifications.
