Madison Electric - Borough Utility Engineer The Borough of Madison, New Jersey, owns and maintains its' own electric utility system, purchasing 34.4KV power from the Jersey Central Power & Light Company, now GPU Energy. The installed capacity of the Borough's system is approximately 88MVA and consists of a 34.4KV sub-transmission system, and 4.16KV and 12.4KV distribution systems. Crane Associates, P.C. has been retained as the Engineer of Record for the Borough of Madison's Electrical Department for the past 35 years. |

Montclair State University - Electric Upgrade The Universitys campus-wide electrical system, originally consisting of an outdated 13.2KV - 4.16KV, 7 MVA substation was upgraded with new 26.4KV PSE&G utility feeders; two (2) 20 MVA, 26.4KV - 4.16KV, 2400 VAC transformers and two (2) lineups of 4.16 KV switchgear housed in a new switchgear building. Included in the upgrade was the replacement of nine (9) radial feeders which serve approximately forty (40) buildings on campus. |
